As with the previously announced anglerfish, this hand painted cachet is a real stunner. The black background of the ocean depths really magnifies the beauty of the watercolored creatures of the deep. In this case, a school of clownfish have chanced upon a sea cucumber, and they gather around with obvious curiosity.

The cucumber has a cylindrical body and lives on the ocean floor, catching its food using tentacles that surround its mouth. This is readily seen in my cachet. There are about 500 species of sea cucumber, making it one of the most common creatures on the ocean floor.
