Three snow geese walking and one in flight are the subjects on this hand painted cachet. Or[e appears on the new starnp. Snow geese travel in flocks of a couple dozen. They can form large flocks of several thousand. The smaller groups forage for food in muddy fields, digging roots and tubers. They are a beautiful siglrt on the grormd, and in flight they are steady with even

wingbeats.
