For this cachet I decided to put you, the viewer/ collector, on the operating table looking up. Through your eyes as patient, you see two doctors intent on stitching up their successful operation. In the background, a nurse monitors some of the operating room equipment. The high intensity lights glare down from above. In basic terms, hospitals were conceived to service the medical needs of patients, so what better way to present a cachet than from a patient's perspective.

The stamp has an unofficial cancel from Hope, New Jersey, and this has a double-edged meaning as we all "hope" we never go to a hospital, but if we do, we "hope" everything turns out well.
