Senor Marin was the first eleted Governor of Puerto Rico and a colorful strip of five of these five-cent reds begins the festive mood of this Island FDC. Three framed circles about the size of silver dollars form a trilogy of colorful scenes.

The miracle strip of luxurious high rise hotels clustered along the San Juan beaches.

The detailed scenes are all hand painted and the frame around each is hand painted in different distinctive and vivid Carribean colors. The cover centerpiece around which the three silver-dollar scenes and the strip of five stamps are placed is a vibrant green map of the Island itself. The jungle green is a wonderful contrast to the other colors and actually enhances their appeal. A nice FDC -- one that surely gets your attention.
