1990 LOVE STAMP

Two brightly colored Lovebirds are perched in a cherry tree. One is a vivid green with crimson/tangerine head and the other is a turquoise blue. They are the traditional Lovebirds that can be seen at almost any pet store. The hand-painted cachet finds them cuddled close together gazing into each other's eyes. A cluster of ripe cherries adds additional color.

The stamp was issued in Romance, Arkansas. To complement the Lovebird cachet perfectly I obtained a great related unofficial (real) First Day cancel from Birdeye, Arkansas. When you see this COLLINS cover you will appreciate how the "entire" cachet, stamp and unique Birdeye postmark all come together to make this a fine Love First Day Cover. Because of the geographic location of Romance, Arkansas, I'm sure that not too many unofficials exist.
