AGING

The official city for this issue was Sun City, Arizona and a single is hand canceled "First Day of Issue". Then, keeping with "sun", the covers were taken to Sunnyvale, California for an unofficial. It is a nice cancel with killer bars.

The cachet shows a profile portrait of a senior. Over this is a smaller full length figure of the same individual playing tennis, which symbolizes the active nature of so many of our country's older citizens. It is hand painted in colors that compliment very well the rust shade used for the stamp.

I don't believe too many unofficials were obtained for this issue, and it should be a good one in this regard.
