Lot 8 Q501 — 1982 Canvasback Duck Migratory Bird First Day Cover. The 2" Collins "Duck." 

This is a classic Collins first day cover. My first "duck" was in 1981. The hand painted cachet shows three canvasback ducks taking off from a quiet lake. The new duck stamp has a large bullseye first day postmark from Washington, DC. To meet the postage requirement, I used one mallard and one Canada goose stamp from the CAPEX issue. It's a beauty and the second Collins "duck."
