A single is hand-canceled "First Day of Issue" at official city --Philadelphia. An additional single is hand-canceled at a great related unofficial city -- Swedesboro, N.J. The hand-painted cachet is quite interesting. A map of Sweden is featured with illustrations of geographic subjects -- a churcn, a farm girl, mountains, and a sailing schooner. The detail is very good, and the coloring very attractive. Near the top of the cachet is a hand-painted Swedish flag -- deep blue with the distinctive yellow cross. Along with the U.S./Germany issue which I did in the same style, this cover is interesting, different, and very pleasing to the eye.
