It proclaims "The Chrismas City of the U.S.A." A great cancel!  An addtional single has the First Day cancel from Washington, D.C.

Tha cachet. is loveIy showing Maryvary and the baby Jesus . Hand-painted in vary natural tones, it contributes much to the over-all appeal of the whole FDC. A nice feature is the cut-rock window/border that frames the mother/ infant scene. Many of these covers (as well as L701) will find their wav into the albums of Christmas topical collectors.
