The theme of this stamp is to lend a hand and volunteer. In this country there is a wide array of volunteer activities ranging from youth organizations to community service groups to giving blood to donating money, time, goods or services. Whatever form volunteering takes, it is always welcomed.. .and that is my unofficial city --Welcome, Maryland. The cover also has a "First Day of Issue" hand cancel from the official city of Washington, D.C.
