A similar pair of stamps have a terrific related unofficial cancel from Claysville, PA. I was really pleased to obtain this postmark. The hand-painted cachet is a very good one.

It shows Clay making a dramatic speech to his fellow legislators. The portrayal of his stance and the grasp he has on his audience truly reflects Henry Clay's reputation as a master orator.
