This MILFORD is an important cover as it presents on its Day of Issue the very first conservation stamp from Nova Scotia. The pictorial First Day cancellation was designed especially for this occasion. A loveIy hand-painted cachet features the very beautiful common merganser while near-by a handsome white-tailed deer buck approaches the water's edge. Special prominence is highlighted on this MILFORD by adding "First of Province" text to clearly proclaim its status. 210 covers were created.
