Wood Ducks by Jeffrey Klinefelter

Fred's Anecdotal Note

A female pokes her head out of a nesting box placed

adjacent to a woodlands marsh. These boxes are used by

many state agencies and conservation groups to ensure

that woodduck populations are maintained by having

adequate breeding and nesting habitats. A male glides in

as a golden sky provides a warm backdrop to this tranquil

setting. A third "woodie" swims nearby on the placid water.

Serial numbers used on this MILFORD were 50021 thru

50220 except for 80, 99, 101, 102, 159, 161, 162, 181, 182, 207 and 213.
