My son Ryan accompanied me to Albany where we picked

up the just-issued New York State duck stamps. Last year my Maryland MILFORD featured a Naval Academy cancel, so

this year I wanted to do one for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The folks at the Base Post Office were very accommodating and a fine postmark results. In my hand-painted cachet, three Canada geese fly above the West Point complex with the Hudson River prominent in the background. 170 MILFORDS were produced for this issue.
