1995 MARYLAND

A morning Maryland sky brightens with a golden sunrise. A male mallard overlooks his mate which, in turn, shelters her baby duckling. Note the watercolor blending in this hand-painted MILFORD cachet, the water in the pond, the plants along the shoreline, the treeline and sky, and the ducks themselves.

Stamp serial numbers used were 28206 to 28355. Each six-dollar stamp has a tab which I left attached making it an interesting feature for this item. A nice magenta First Day cancel ties the stamps to the cover.
