1995 ILLINOIS

This new Duck stamp is very apeating for three reasons. First, it shows a chocolate Iab puppy pulling a string of wooden green-winged teal decoys and it is indeed a cute scene. Second, this rendition is entitled "The Collector" right on the stamp which I find very appropriate. And third, the ten dollar face value is one of the higher amounts among all the states. Seria] numbers used were 88921 to 89060 on this limited edition MILFORD.

The hand-painted cachet carries through on the stamp theme. In the foreground, a pair of green-winged teal cast inquisitive glances at a near-by rowboat in which three chocolate lab puppies are playing. In the background, an old red grain elevator sits on a grassy green knoll overlooking a blue stream.
