1995 MISSOURI

Expanding on the color theme of the new stamp, I decided to bathe this hand-painted cachet in the golden glory of a morning sunrise via the extensive use of yellow and orange. An alert mother Goldeneye Duck sits on a bed of moss which grows on an aging gray log. One of her ducklings cuddles close to her body while a second floats serenely on the shimmering water. Nearby a drangonfly rests on a cattail reed. The brilliant color scheme gives this MILFORD a bold identity.

A nice Jefferson City magenta cancel ties the new stamp to the final 1995 MILFORD. Serial numbers used were 51551 to 51690.
