Cinnamon Teal by Bill Border
Fred's Anecdotal Note
1996 COLORADO
A drake cinnamon teal stands on an icy snow-covered ledge watching over his mate which swims nearby. Both are aware of the inquisitive elk which has wandered close to them. This handpainted MILFORD cachet captures the bitter cold elements of a Rocky Mountain winter.
Stamp serial numbers used were 12811 to 12960 thus
resulting in only 150 covers for this limited edition. The five dollar stamp showing a pair of cinnamons in flight and other wildlife is postmarked at Fort Collins.
