Pintails by Robert Steiner

Fred's Anecdotal Note

1997 California

The $10.50 face value of the new duck stamp helps to make this Mlford a very desirable collector's item. It is tied to the cover with a Sacramento postmark. An inquizitive jack rabbit with large ears erect and alert, watches a pair of pintail ducks land at a desert water hole. The female is in the foreground with her mate close behind. Scrub grass and a small bed of cactus eke out their survival in the hostile environment at water's edge. In the background, wind-swept foothills and distant snow-capped mountains display their timeless grander under a blue and pink sky. A fine Mlford hand-painted cachet in my 1997 Wildlife Series.
