Pintails by J. Collins
Fred's Anecdotal Note
1997 Vermont
A furry gray squirrel sits on a stone outcropping, clutching an acorn. Nearby, the remnants of an old wagon, long ago abandoned, has begun to slowly decay. Over the amber field, a pair of pintail ducks fly toward their next watery destination. The handpainted cachet has a nice New England "look."
The new five-dollar stamp is postmarked at Putney, Vermont. Only 137 Mlford covers were produced for this very limited edition.
