1997 Maine

A bull moose is momentarily distracted from his feeding in a remote Maine lake. A greater scaup has just taken flight from the watery path of the moose who casually watches the duck fly away. Swimming to a less congested area, two scaup ducks are featured in the right foreground of this hand painted Mlford cachet. Rolling hills and mountains form a nice scenic backdrop for this north country setting.

Only 130 individually numbered cachets were produced for this very limited edition. The new stamp is postmarked at Augusta. This cover is part of my 1996-1997 "Wildlife Theme" Mlford series.
