Done in a very serious vein, this simple stamp consists only of the words "Alcoholism - You can beat it!" in blue on an off-white background. To stay with the serious nature of this issue, my cachet is simple but effective showing an open Scotch bottle with a hand holding a drink at the moment of decision. I like the coloring of this cachet very much.

Each cover has two cancels - the official from Washington, D.C. and the unofficial from Temperance, Michigan. The strong cachet, the simple and direct stamp and the Temperance unofficial make this an appropriate FDC for a difficult subject. Item #H401 - $5.50
