This cover is a very nice one that you will enjoy having in your collection. A single stamp has the "First Day of Issue" hand cancel from Chicago. An additional single has the Bethlehem, PA pictorial unofficial cancel. This is the same great cancel that I've used in previous years showing wisemen and camels. The cachet is most attractive and shows a rural church during a snowfall. It is a peaceful scene of quiet solitude done mostly in blues and white with a small pair of crimson cardinals adding just a hint of life. Item #P401 - $5.50

Lot 10 P401 — Christmas Religious — 10/28/81

This is a very nice Christmas first day cover that has a lovely small cachet of a rural church during a snowfall. It's a peaceful scene of quiet solitude hand-painted mostly in blues and white with a small pair of crimson cardinals adding just a hint of life. The Madonna and child stamps were picked up in Chicago where one received the official first day of issue cancel, and then they were taken to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where a second stamp received an amazing pictorial cancellation that has a scene with wisemen, camels and the North Star.
