This COLLINS First Day Cover is first being offered to collectors on March 18th and, as I look at it, I can only remember yesterday's festivities honoring the Emerald Isle -- St. Patrick's Day. This stamp would make any Irishman proud for it is as green as green can be.

The event is the javelin and in my hand-painted cachet a muscular athlete is about to hurl the spear-like "jay".

Proving very popular with collectors is my distinctive handpainted background colors which are bright and sassy. They complement the intense shades used in the vivid stamps. This green edition joins the still available (at $8.25 each) hurdles - red; discus - yellow; and, pole vault - blue).
