"Space Ships" Cachet 

In this hand-painted cachet I continue the "comic strip" style of cachet design and color schemes. It certainly differs from my usual style. In this cachet, two space ships fly by each other above the peaks of a distant world. A lavendar lower atmosphere contrasts sharply with a blue upper atmosphere. The orange and yellow tails of the thrust rockets are bright as compared to the other subdued colors of space.

The stamp has the First Day of Issue bullseye postmark from Huntsville, Alabama. The first of my single stamp Space Fantasy FDCs to be offered. Item #F2106. $10.75.
