Wonders Of The Sea

Leaping Dolphins

Collins Cover Announcement

WONDERS OF THE SEA

Dolphin Cachet

In this hand-painted cachet, a pod of dolphins frolic at and just below the surface of the sea. They are "porpoising" which means to move in and out of the water in a series of leaps.

Two have broken the surface and fully three-quarters of their sleek bodies are air-borne against the golden morning sky.

Four others swim just below the surface and soon they, too, will begin to "porpoise". Dolphins often herd together, called podding, and travel in groups when migrating, while searching for food or during the breeding season.

Dolphins are carnivorous aquatic mammals that never leave the water at any stage of their lives. They are warm blooded, maintain a constant body temperature and bear their young live. They are very intelligent and can grow quite attached to humans. In this cross-section cachet technique, you'll join the gentle lovable creatures as they cruise beneath the sea and leap in splashing splendor above the waves. Wonders of the Sea. A pod of dolphins. Item #M2301. $10.75.
