Heart-Shaped Dove and Roses - 29-cent

My hand-painted cachet for this issue returns to the Victorian Age for subject matter. An ornate, multiple-frame border surrounds a large oval. Featured is a winged cherub cupid drawing back a bow string and about to shoot an arrow of love. It is a cute rendition with the cupid floating through a cloud-filled sky.

Within the frames, included is scroll-work that typified artwork of the period, but I've also added two roses and a dove to link the cachet to the subject matter of the new stamp. Also, apart from the main cachet I've included a hand-painted "Love" with each individual letter set against a background that is color-coordinated to the main cachet.

This is definitely unlike any of my previous love covers and has a look of its own. Something different - a Victorian cupid. Item #R2201. $10.75.
