PINK ROSE

A most unusual and vivid color combination makes this hand-painted COLLINS a real attention-getter. Pink and gold are not usually seen paired together, but that's what I came up with for this "different" cachet. To describe it to you I'd like to start at the outside of the design and work my way in.

An outer golden border is hand-painted with individual pink rosebuds appearing in each of the four corners. Next comes a graceful, almost wispy, pink border that serves to separate the gold border from the midnight black background of the main cachet area. Against the black, delicate hands hold a small bouquet of roses -- pink and gold. Green leaves accent the cachet and the hands tend to soothe the vibrant colors, but make no mistake, the bold and dominating use of the pink and gold scheme is very effective.

Completing the cover is the new crisp looking pink rose stamp with First Day postmark. Then, to the lower right and outside the main bordered area, a single pink rose mini-cachet provides that extra touch that adds balance and visual appeal to the overall appearance.
