As I write this I'm looking at the finished cachet and only one word comes to mind -- lovely. It prominently presents two winged angels whose youthful and innocent features are truly heavenly. Intertwined with the angels are finely painted flowers and ribbons. I've chosen soft pastels to give the cachet a gentle and tranquil appearance. It spans the entire face of the cover and is a perfect example of the cachetmaker's craft as it should be practiced.

Both thirty-two cent stamps are used on this COLLINS FDC as they shared the same issue date and First Day City -- Valentines, Virginia. The sheet stamp is slightly larger than the selfadhesive so it is readily apparent that this is actually a "double" First Day Cover.
