Harold Arlen

Hyman Arluck, known professionally as Harold Arlen, combined musical theater, Tin Pan Alley, Blues, and Jazz to write some of our all-time favorites. His hits included "That Old Black Magic"; "Come Rain or Come Shine"; "One For My Baby"; and, "Stormy Weather". For the film Wizard of Oz he wrote "Over the Rainbow" and "We're Off to See to Wizard" and my handpainted cachet is based on those classics. It pictures the cowardly lion who searched for courage, the scarecrow who desired a brain, and the tin man who wanted a heart. It also shows a portrait of a young Harold Arlen.
