Count Dracula's borne was in the Carpathian mountains. Not far away along the western border of Transylvania near the legendary count's horne, Bela Lugosi was born in 1882. The famous actor will forever be associated with his role as Dracula. Established in the Hungarian theater, he moved to New York and landed the lead in the Broadway production of "Dracula" in 1927. He was again cast as the infamous count in Universal Studio's 1931 screen version. His heavy accent made him perfect for the part When he died. in 1956, he was buried in his Dracula cape.

My individuaIy hand-painted cachet shows the count in his mansion The effect is chilling as the sinister monster is shown flanked by two long curtains against a backdrop of barren trees, a candle, and empty wine glasses. It's spooky! Of course, he is dressed in black with highlights of crimson.
