This announcement begins my five cover mini-set for the 'Bright Eyes- Household Pets series. In all candor, I did not care for the artistic style of the new stamps, but some collectors did. The topic of pets, however, is one that I love, and right away I knew that I wanted to use my cachet space to present cute, popular pets in a realistic rendition. The set of five turned out fantastic, and I am thrilled to present them for your collection. Starting with the first two, you will truly enjoy receiving each of the five. The fivecover series will include puppy, kitten, goldfish, parakeet, and hamster.

Puppy

A Golden Retriever has been part of our family for many years. They were, sometimes with overlaps, Rusty, Casey, Heidi, Molly and, currently, Brandy. Naturally, a Golden Retriever pup was an absolute must for my Collins FDC. Several years ago our younger son, Ryan, got a Black Lab puppy. Ryan is now away at college, but Shadow remains and is a constant companion and playmate for Brandy. And so, a Black Lab puppy also appears on this winsome cover. Goldfish

Watercolors bring to life an underwater scene from the fishbowl or aquarium. Three fancy, colorful goldfish swim about amid delicate aquatic plants. A gravel bottom and rock formation add a sense of realism while a treasure chest accessory, included for decorative interest, complements the underwater scene. Fish - gold and tropical - provide much pleasure to the lives of millions, and they are indeed popular pets.
