Henry R. Luce

Mr. Luce was a famous publisher and editor, as well as a noted opinion-maker. The stamp honors him on the 100th Anniversary of his birth. He was born to missionary parents and lived the first few years of his life in China. In the publishing arena, he founded several famous magazines such as Time, Fortune, Life, and Sports Illustrated. Henry Luce was also active in radio--directing many memorable programs including the very popular 'The March of Time."
