Cougar - "Catamount Respite"

A large mountain lion takes a short pause or respite from the daily patrol of its home territory. Winter has come to the remote mountainous area, and the cougar stretches out on a downed pine log. A cold weather songbird has landed nearby on a snow-covered tree bough. The big cat watches the small bird intently but instinctively knows that it will stay just out of reach. Soon, the powerful catamount will leave the serene resting spot and resume roaming its large wilderness domain.
