THE ANNUAL COLLINS "DUCK"
High Value Stamp - $15.00 Face
Edition limited to those ordering Now
A Fabulous "Arctic Theme" First Day Cover
Each spring, nesting pairs of greater scaup ducks frequent their breeding areas just below the Arctic Circle. On colossal Hudson Bay, around Manitoba's Lake Winnipeg, spread over countless smaller lakes stretching across Canada's Northwest Territories, and in our own state of Alaska, these beautifiil scaup bring new baby ducklings into the world. This frozen frontier is also home to the magnificent and powerful polar bear. The 1999 hand painted cachet may be considered by many to be the best ever as I combine both a mother polar bear with adorable cubs and a pair of greater scaups with cute ducklings into an incredible wildlife scene. You won't want to miss adding this beauty to your collection!
To meet postal requirements, I am using the polar bear stamp from the recently issued Arctic animal set. This attractive stamp adds nicely to the theme of the cover . The Postal Service always provides a great pictorial First Day of Issue cancellation that will tie both the new duck stamp and the polar bear stamp to the envelope.
You must order now if you do not want to miss this cover. Established Collins collectors know my annual duck procedure, but for newer ones, let me briefly explain. 1. do covers only for those ordering them in advance. They will not be available from me later and will be found only on the open market. This is why some collectors order an extra or two to put away for future sale or trade. As virtually immediate "sold-outs," their desirability and collectibility is ensured. Each year a collector or two misses the ordering deadline and is then disappointed, so please be sure to send in your reservation form today.
Thanks.

The cachet shows a close-up rendition of a mother scaup and four cute ducklings swimming in Arctic waters. Mother polar bear, standing on the icepack with two young cubs, watches the ducks intently. On a snowy ridge in the background, Father bear knows not to venture too close to the protective mother. To meet postal requirements, a polar bear stamp from the Arctic animal set was added. This attractive stamp adds nicely to the theme of the cover.
