Rio Grande

The natural beauty of the Rio Grande is captured on both the new stamp and my hand painted cachet. A young Native American woman with a baby on her back is shown on the United States side of the River. Across the water, which is the international border, the Sandia Mountains in Mexico can be observed in the background. The colors in this cachet really came together nicely, and it is a lovely item.

The Rio Grande stamp joins the Niagara Falls and Grand Canyon issues as new airmails. A tiny plane is evident on each of these stamps next to the denomination. I'm pleased to offer the beautiful vista of the Rio Grande River. Item #D3101 - $12.25.
