Within this popular musical of the mid-1930s, there was a sequence called "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue." It became an acclaimed chapter in Broadway history, and it is a scene from this famous presentation that is the subject of my hand painted cachet.

Hart was a prolific songwriter for Broadway shows. Besides On Your Toes, some of his other famous hits include: Pal Joey; A Connecticut Yankee; The Boys from Syracuse; Babes in Arms; Fly With Me; I'd Rather Be Right; and Jumbo.
