When the Postal Service decided to issue the stamps honoring the very talented Hollywood composers and Broadway songwriters, I quickly determined that a great opportunity was presenting itself for our FDC hobby. Philatelic recognition of the featured individuals, by creating cachets for examples of some of their best works, was a way in which I could present First Day Cover memories of Broadway and Silver Screen history.
