Sonoran Desert

Saguaro Cactus

Collins Cover Announcement

Saguaro Cactus

It is a distinct pleasure to announce the first offering in my absolutely beautiful Sonoran Desert Series. The hand painted cachets are gorgeous and this is a set of Collins covers that will give you much satisfaction to own. It all begins with the diminutive and distinctive elf owl which lives in the majestic saguaro cactus. The colors and designs combine on these hand painted covers to create a spectacular series of ten Sonoran Desert scenes. The remaining nine will be offered in the coming weeks and months, and I can assure you that each will be as incredible as the elf owl. As you add each of the forthcoming Sonoran covers to your collection, you will more eagerly look forward to the next and the next until you have completed the set.

As my long-term collectors know, nature and wildlife are favorite cachet topics. I can assure you that this group of covers will further enhance your appreciation of our magnificent Sonoran Desert, located in the Southwest. It all begins with the superb elf owl perched on a flowering cactus. Beautiful.

Item #N3005 $12.25.

Set Introduction

Sonoran Desert Wildlife

Set of 10 - Available at one per month

To achieve a realistic sense of the desert habitat of these animals, I've illustrated several varieties of cactus and other desert plants. In addition to Sonoran vistas I also captured in the hand painted cachets a dazzling sunset (owl), a breaking dawn (mule deer), and a picturesque western sky pastels (tortoise). The stamps in this habitat set of ten are all attractive, and each of the wildlife cachets is very realistic as a result of the hand painting on each and every one of them.

Although the enclosed photos will give you a good idea as to the quality of these cachets, the actual colors are more vivid and lifelike. The copies cannot capture the intricate details and artistic craftmanship of the covers. I'm very anxious for you to see them for youself.
