There is an old philosophical question that goes back for untold centuries. "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" For a long time, angels were believed to be extremely small.

Although my hand painted cachet does not embrace the extreme smallness of a pinhead, it does provide an interesting illustration of a diminutive Christmas angel. Two doves of peace and happiness perch serenely as she offers them food and comfort. In the background, the village of Bethlehem is bathed in starlight. The scene is very different and very heartwarming.

By mixing and blending various paint shades, a fine coordination between the colors of the stamp and those of the waterc,olored cachet has been achieved. This can only be accomplished to such a high degree by hand painting, and I know you will appreciate the completed FDC.
