Of all the covers offered within the last year or two, my Extreme Sports set of four has featured the boldest and, if you will, "extreme" use of bright and shocking colors. The vivid hues applied in liberal brush strokes and striking color combinations have made these four hand painted cachets ones that are destined to forever evoke comments within the hobby. You may love their dynamic appearance, or you may not care for their gaudy style, but everyone will agree that they are indeed extreme in comparison to my other hand painted cachets. That difference is the very reason I think they will become desirable collectibles.

There is another obvious distinctive feature that adds to the appeal of this set. My friend Jim Jones traveled to San Francisco for the First Day and obtained extremely desirable postmarks. They are silver dollar sized and are the largest bullseye cancels ever to appear on my First day Covers. Only Collins collectors will exclusively have them because no other cachetmaker managed to obtain them. There is no doubt that these gigantic First Day postmarks add a fine and most unusual philatelic presence to complement the neon-like paints that will command the viewer's attention.
