ZIP PLUS FOUR - 21.1 CENTS

The completed cover for this issue has unexpectedly become one of my 1985 favorites. A pair of brightly colored stamps is unofficially canceled at Rushland, Pennsylvania. Everything nowadays is rush? rush, rush, and the Zip Code plus four more numbers will supposedly help the Postal Service rush the mail.

The hand-painted cachet, however, paints a different picture with the old horse-drawn mail wagon meandering down a country road. It is a really attractive and vibrant cachet, and I believe that you will like it alot. The title that I've given this cover is tongue in cheek for both the meandering wagon and today's mail service - "Zipping Along". Item #Q1001 - $7.50.
