This wonderfully colored fish is a marvel to behold, and the pose I've chosen to portray gives a splendid opportunity to best present the vivid red from which this picturesque trout derived its apt name.

Ferns, leaves, and wildflowers provide the serene rain forest backdrop along the stream's edge, and yet this serenity is boldly interrupted for just a few scant seconds by the erupting surface of the water caused by the trout's mighty and arching jump.
