Throughout my cachetmakin.g career, there have been sprinkled special moments when new ideas or concepts have dawned on me in regard to my cachetmaking. With this new cover, I am happy to announce that it represents one of those special moments of creative innovation.

It is clear that the US Post Office will continue to issue a variety of Love stamps in the months and years ahead. In the past, I have been challenged as to how to present in fresh ways a subject which appears on a regular basis. The concept of "LOVE" is wonderful, but to translate it into cachet art over and over is difficult. Now, however, I believe that my mental quest has ended with a perfect solution.

Starting with Romeo and Juliet, it is my intention to present on my "Love" cachets, famous romantic couples of the world. The possibilities are exciting and numerous, and T will be able to travel throughout World and United States history to present famous couples that we have all come to know. I am sorely tempted to list for you my "short list" of next candidates but will refrain from doing so as to not ruin the surprise factor. You can probably guess some of the loving pairs that I have in mind.

This hand painted cachet is truly a miniature work of art. It is extremely delicate, requiring many finely executed brush strokes.
