Chinese New Year

Year of the Horse

Collins Cover Announcement

The Year of the Horse

Each year, my Asian New Year cachets are anxiously awaited and eagerly anticipated by collectors. This year's cover features a beautiful horse sculpture from China's Tang Dynasty. The time period would be 618 to 907 AD. A lovely bowl and cut flowers add a bit of elegance to the composition. These items are on the "outside" of the lined border.

Within the border is a real horse, which connects with my past covers in this series that feature live animals. The hand painting brings all of the artwork together in a wonderful array of colors, which are complemented by the vivid new stamp. You will enjoy having this interesting FDC in your collection.

I'm pleased to present The Year of the Horse — Collins #K3501 - $12.25.
