Longleaf Pine Forest

Northern Bobwhite

This attractive hand painted cachet features one of North America's most distinctive birds — the bobwhite. In this scene, a wary pair surveys the forest floor for both potential enemies and seeds and plant life on which to feed. The setting pays particular attention to the habitat of this stamp series as a fallen branch lies in the foreground, an overhead limb shows the namesake long pine needles, and, in the background, a

mature tree looms high above the ground.

You will enjoy the beautiful feather markings on my two bobwhites, as this cover continues the Pine Forest series. Collins #M3502 — Northern Bobwhite - $12.25.
