Happy Birthday

Collins Cover Announcement

37c  HAPPY BIRTHDAY

A youngster gets set to blow out the candles on his cake as a Birthday clown looks on. The design of this cachet is pretty basic, but what will grab your attention here is the color. The multi-hued hair of the clown. The party balloons. The cake. The outfits of the clown and the birthday boy. The vivid lettering on the stamp. It all comes together to create one of the boldest, brightest, most colorful cachets that I have ever produced. It is cheerful and uplifting — almost beyond belief — and a fine example of the artistic expression of hand painted cachets. Happy Birthday! Collins #P3601 - $12.25.
