Audrey was born in Belgium in 1929. After World War II she moved to London where she had a series of minor stage roles and small parts in movies. In 1951 she got her big break when she was chosen for the lead role in the Broadway play "Gigi". In 1953 she won an academy award for Best Actress in the Hollywood film "Roman Holiday''.

Hepburn received academy award nominations for her performances in four other movies: "Sabrina", "The Nun's Story", "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Wait Until Dark". She appeared with some of Hollyr,vood's most distinguished leading men, including Humphrey Bogart, Fred Astaire, Cary Grant, and Rex Harrison. My hand painted cachet delightfully captures Audrey in her role opposite Harrison in 1964's "My Fair Lady''.
