Lunar New Year - 2005

YEAR OF THE DRAGON - Year OF THE BOAR

The Collins hand painted cachet for the dragon stamp turned out exceptionally well. With a happy and somewhat whimsical design, this is an upbeat First Day Cover that definitely adds a lot to the set. Vivid watercolors and the Honolulu pictorial postmark combine to make this FDC one that you'll be pleased to add to your collection. Two cute piglets add a soft touch to the Year of the Boar cover. With an ornate border, park-like background, and an Oriental girl that pets a young boar with one hand and fans herself with the other, this hand painted beauty complements the set very nicely. Now ready are the Year of the Dragon (J3905) and the Year of the Boar (J3912) at $13.25 each.
