It's a pleasure for me to announce an exciting new set that many of my collectors have been patiently waiting for. Super heroes from the pages of classic comics are sure to please with their familiar images, super human powers, and dazzling vivid colors. -Each and every cachet in this amazing set is individually hand painted in beautiful watercolors. This magnificent set will further enhance the reputation of Collins cachets, and you will not want to miss adding it to your collection. An early sellout (like the three recent national park stamps) is a distinct possibility, so please return your order form in a timely fashion.

The format of this new pane of 20 is very nice. Ten of the stamps offer portraits of the respective super heroes. For those issues, my hand painted cachets will also offer large portraits that will ensure their becoming sought-after treasures in our First Day Cover hobby. Just look at the enclosed illustrations and imagine them in their bright watercolored finished versions. Individually and as a group they are spectacular. The first two you'll receive are Superman and Batman, and the ultimate downthe-road value of those two American icons alone may exceed the cost of the entire set. Joining the two super heroes will be Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Supergirl, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Plastic Man, and The Flash. What an amazing group! 

The other ten stamps are icing on the cake. Each will show a classic comic book cover that is devoted to the respective heroes. For these hand painted cachets I will use a comic strip format that will complement the portrait designs. Thus each super hero will be shown on a Collins cover in both portrait and comic strip formats. It will be a fun set to own and collect.

All orders will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. I remember that the Classic Comic set that came out in 1995 was spoken for quite quickly, and it's very hard to find that set on the open market today. If you desire this set, don't delay too long in returning the form with your first payment. Newer Collins collectors should be aware that I cannot accelerate shipment of this set. To allow for hand painting, I can only ship and invoice one super hero per month.
